Families from the McKinley Community School were back in class after hours getting into existential topics — like where did life on Earth begin, and could it possibly exist elsewhere? Rutgers scientists with the NASA-funded Enigma Project were at the school to share scientific discoveries and research with students. #ENIGMA stands for Evolution of Nanomachines in Geospheres and Microbial Ancestors.
It is hard to believe that we have completed another successful year! The class of 2019 is preparing to enter high school leaving us with a year of amazing accomplishments and memories. We are so very proud of them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
As I reflect on the 2018-2019 school year, it has truly been one of challenges and changes. But as a family, we have persevered! I am thankful and encouraged by the dedicated and caring staff that have created beautiful memories for our students as this has been a year of accomplishments.
I would like to thank our PTA and parent volunteers for the many hours that they spend helping to enrich the school community. I would also like to thank our parents for their support as well as trusting us to provide your children with the best education possible.
We encourage our families to continue reading and learning over the summer! On behalf of the staff at McKinley Community School, have a happy, healthy and safe summer break. We look forward to seeing you in September!
Thank you for your partnership.
